At Edboard, we know that young children between the ages of 5-11 develop their sense of identity through discovering what areas they feel confident in. Due to a lack of engaging tools, difficulty understanding the material, and inaccessibility to quality education, many children do not develop their confidence in science, technology, math, and engineering. The EdBoard was created to assist children in developing their confidence and critical thinking skills in electrical engineering, serving as an entry point to STEM as a whole.
Each EdBoard kit follows a unique story designed around different engineering concepts with real-world applications. In each kit, we ask kids to think like an engineer as they solve various engineering activities.

Main Street Base Kit.
The Main Street Base kit is the perfect kit for beginners. In this kit, you work with Lizzie the Lightning Bug to learn their first steps in circuitry. Here you will learn about the basics of electrical current and the foundations of circuitry as you help the lightning bug engineers install a traffic light in time for Sparkdale’s Festival of Colors!
the haunted Hotel
A step up from the Main Street Base Kit, the Haunted Hotel brings a spooky twist to the Circuit Story format. In this kit, you help Maya the Mouth unravel the supernatural mysteries of The Cozy Cocoon Inn. Solving each of the inn’s mysteries, you will learn about engineering ethics, problem identification, resistors, and motors.
The Forbidden island
The most advanced circuit story, the Forbidden Island kit, is for those who want to go an extra step further in understanding circuitry. In this story, kids join Chidi, the Cricket, and his fellow conservationist on a mission to a remote tropical island off the coast of Sparkdale. Learn about RC circuits, natural science, conservation, and how electrical engineers can use their skills to impact the environment positively.
Construction kit
The construction kit was designed to let imaginations run wild as you learn how to build three-dimensional circuits. Sparkdale’s Busy Bee Builders will guide you as you build bridges and skyscrapers. This kit comes with specially designed pieces so you create whatever you can imagine!
