Frequently asked questions.

What is the Age range for EdBoard?

We have tested EdBoards with children as young as five. We have also used Edboards to help teach college students electrical engineering. We recommend 8 years old* as a good age for a child with no prior STEM exerpiences.

*Extremely Important: EdBoards do have small parts with magnets (that’s kind of what we do!). Any child any child who is prone to putting objects in their mouths should not be allowed to use EdBoards because accidentally swallowing magnets can lead to serious health complications. EdBoard components should be picked up after each use so that other small children (such as younger siblings) don’t find and swallow parts.

How long does each circuit story last?

Each of the Three main circuit stories is made up of ten different activities. Depending on the skill level of your child each circuitry story can take up between 45 minutes to 2 hours to complete.

Can I buy EdBoards for my Class or Camp?

Of course. We love to see EdBoards used in as many different learning situations as possible. We have created Bundles in our online store specifically for schools and camps.

Are the cardboard Builders included in the kit or bought separately?

Each “Creator” kit comes with the necessary cardboard builders. You also can buy spare cardboard builders as needed.
